Trail conditions 3/2/23

Out and about on some of our trails today. Trails are hard packed and icy in spots. Plowed fields are starting to show some bare spots and corners are getting down to dirt. I think this weekend might be the last of the use of the trails in our county. With sun and warmer weather this weekend and talk of rain again on Monday, I don’t know if the trails will hold up unless we get snow.

Our groomer is out today doing East and South trails. Going to try North and West trails tomorrow.

Had a bad weekend last week. Groomer tractor broke down in Mankato on the Sakatah state trail, fuel issue’s, got it running again, made to Morristown at midnight and quit again. Got it home on Sunday and stopped running again. Finally figured out the problems on Tuesday and now we are grooming again. It wasn’t that we didn’t want to groom the trails. That half of inch of rain did not help our trails.
