Final Trail opening on Sakatah State Trail all groomed. 1/22/23

Trail underneath is flat, not a side hill.

These pictures are from Sunday, 1/22/23. This stretch of trail was west of Madison Lake, about a half mile of trail. Had to use loader and bucket to break through the drifts. Top part, about 18 inches of the drifts, was very hard from the rain earlier. Took about 3 hours to break through and try to level drop offs between the drifts. As you can see in the pictures, the trail looks like it is on a sidehill. Ran the JD groomer though 5 times before taking the drag through to make it a fairly decent trail. Now Sakatah state trail is fully groomed from Faribault to Mankato. Groomer driver spent from 6 am to 8 pm on Sunday to groom trail. Long day.
