Happy New Year!

Another Winterfest is in the books. New this year was that festivities were at the
Viaduct Park post parade. The Club provided the burn barrels for heat and sold
50/50 raffle tickets which together, raised $697 for the club. Austin DeGrood won
the 50/50 raffle and donated $100 back to the club. Earl Graham dressed as Santa
and drove the tractor in the parade. There were many positive comments on the
club’s decorations. A big thanks to everyone who helped out this year.

Trail News

A temporary bridge has been placed on the East (Olson) trail. Thank you to
Dave Steinbauer, Jan Steinbauer, Jerry Melchert, Randy Velishek & Tony
Balata who helped with this important project. Building specs and estimates
are in planning stage for the permanent bridge that will need to be placed in
the spring and volunteers will be needed with the bridge construction
project. The new bridge will need to support the weight of the tractor and
groomer.

Trails are being ridden on, and club members routinely monitor the trails for
issues and rough spots and have been groomed as needed.

On an end-of-year note, club members have logged over 451 hours for the
year working on club activities. This includes trail & equipment maintenance,
placing and removing trail signs, clubhouse maintenance, correspondence
with landowners and city and county members and financials. Without club
members volunteering their time, there would be no trails.

The November Landowner Appreciation dinner at the Moose Lodge
was well attended with over 30 landowners and 25 club members in
attendance. Thank you to the landowners and all who attended.
