President of the club

Randy Feyereisn
September 17, 1957 — February 9, 2026

Randy Feyereisn, age 68 of Faribault, MN, died on Monday,
February 9, 2026, due to injuries sustained while snowmobiling
near Cable, WI.
Randy Lynn, the son of Leonard Feyereisn and Ardith Young was
born on September 17, 1957, in Honolulu, HI while his father was
stationed there with the U.S. Army. He was very proud to tell people
he was born in Hawaii. He attended Faribault Senior High School
and graduated with the class of 1975. Following high school Randy
attended RCTC and earned his associate’s degree in engineering
and drafting. On April 19, 1980, he was united in marriage to Lynn
Bjorklund at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault. Randy
began his working career at Nutting Truck & Caster, then moved to
Crown Cork & Seal before starting a 40-year career at Mercury
Minnesota as an Engineer, retiring in 2023.
Randy loved being outdoors and loved snowmobiling. He was
currently President of the Faribo Sno-Go Club and had been for
many years. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his family and
friends, 4-wheeling, especially in Idaho, classic cars, playing softball
in his younger years and was famous for his maple syrup,
raspberries and homemade caramels. Randy was also a member of
the Faribault Rifle and Pistol Club. His pride and joy were his
grandchildren and he never missed any of their games or events.
They called him Papa Randy. He loved making them pancakes and
having extras that he could send home with them.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Feyereisn; by his sons, John (Erica)
Feyereisn and Joseph Feyereisn and fiancé Stephanie Brockman; by
six grandchildren, Peytyn, Ashlyn, Adelyn, Jasper, Natalee and
Isabella; by his father, Leonard Feyereisn; by his siblings, Sue
(Gerry) Hunt and Jim Feyereisn; by his stepbrother, Chris Vlasek
and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Tributes

We lost a great one, our condolences are with Lynn and all
of his family and friends.
Randy has been a member of the Faribo Sno-Go Club for over 45 years.
He headed up our radar run/races on Cannon Lake and vintage shows we
had in conjunction with the Faribault Winterfest. He was the ultimate sled
head! He would talk your arm off about anything related to snowmobiling or
ATVs. Randy was also known to tinker with clutching, carburetors or
anything to make sleds or ATVs run better or faster. He was a great
advocate for the Faribo Sno-Go Club and snowmobiling!
He will truly be missed!! Randy, you can snowmobile on forever! Until we
meet again.
Larry Shepherd

Ironically, I was actually on a snowmobile trip up in the UP of Michigan when I
received word that Randy had sadly left us to go meet God and our Lord Jesus
Christ up in heaven. As my trip went on and the miles piled up I had lots of time
to reminisce about all the great conversations that I’d had with Randy over the
years and it made me smile. I met Randy some 25 years ago when I joined the
Faribault SnoGo club. As I rapidly learned by talking to him he knew anything
and everything about snowmobiles and he damn well made sure you knew it too
because it was hard for a guy to get a word in edgewise, lol! If there was a heart
and soul of our club it was probably Randy. He set up and ran the radar runs out
at Cannon lake for years and years, he was our president more times than I can
even remember and he was involved in just about every aspect of the club for
more than four decades. I know that Randy was a hard worker, a good provider
and family meant everything to him. He married a beautiful woman and raised a
wonderful family. He was responsible with the family money but he always made
sure that there was some left over for family fun. Randy loved anything with an
internal combustion engine, cars, motorcycles , four wheelers and even lawn
mowers but I believe most of all it was snowmobiles. We lost him way too soon
but in a strange way it makes me happy that he died doing something that he
truly loved! Jesus said in the bible that “in my father’s house are many mansions
and I will go forth and prepare one for you.” I’d like to think that Randy’s mansion
is a large and cozy log cabin with a huge fireplace up in the hills surrounded by
millions of miles of snowmobile trails through the forests of heaven. I’d like to
think that as soon as God met Randy face to face he made it start snowing and
gave him a brand new Polaris to ride those trails. Randy I’ll miss you for the rest
of my days but I will ride with you again my friend, just not too soon buddy, oh
and save me a spot in your cabin. Then you can start talking my ears off once
again and I’ll be more than happy to listen for all of eternity. God bless you
Randy, or as I like to think of you… Mr. Snowmobile. And Randy, don’t rest in
peace… ride, ride, ride!

Trail News

Shout out to Jerry Melchert for grooming the state trail in February Jerry worked 12
plus hours and had to unhook the drag a bunch of times to assure that he could get
through the trail. A second shout out to Alex Manz and Jerry Melchert for the work on
the snow pusher they fabricated. Jerry was very happy with how it worked. As always
thanks to all for doing the Club’s work.
