TRAILS ARE ALL GROOMED;
CONDITIONS: Good to Excellent ** Use Caution ** there are many drifts that our groomers can’t get through yet. Snow is powder, trails are setting up nicely. TRAILS: South Trail – Groomed – 95% covered some thin spots. No Ice spots detected. River Bend Spur Trail – Groomed – 95% covered. Industrial Trail – Groomed – 100% covered. Lyndale Trail – Groomed – 100% covered,. Icy in a few spots. Sakatah Trail (our section trailhead to Humphrey Elevator) – Groomed – 100% covered. North Trail – Groomed except one mile section on west side of Co Rd 46 south of Co Rd 1. 10 ft drifts our groomers cant get through yet. 100% covered. West Trail – Groomed – 100% covered. Lots of drifting. Roberd’s Lake Trail – Groomed – 100% covered. East Trail – Groomed – 95% covered. Nerstrand Park Trail – Groomed – 100% covered. As usual…ride responsibly ! 1) MN DNR have received complaints regarding trespassing – don’t risk a ticket, stay on the trail. 2) Word also has been received that a Snowmobile HIT & RUN occurred on the South Trail were a Gas Meter was struck. Information leading to the identity of the culprit responsible or his two friends who helped would be appreciated. The damage caused could be costly. Evidence at the scene points to an Arctic Cat machine and it should have front end damage. Unknown if the operator was injured, but may have suffered chest or abdominal injuries to some degree.
